Our feet are the foundation for our entire body. But with 26 bones, 33 joints, and a network of more than 100 tendons, muscles, and ligaments, a lot can go wrong. So a lot of problems throughout the body, such as back pain or knee pain, can stem from these amazingly complex structures.
Heel pain is the most common problem affecting the foot, according to the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), and plantar fasciitis is the most common cause of heel pain. Heel spurs are another issue that cause sharp pain at the back of the bottom of the foot.
The part of the sole of your foot just behind your toes is where the metatarsals (the bones in the midfoot that give your foot its arch) is located. When the natural protective cushioning in the ball of your foot becomes diminished, it can feel like you’re walking on rocks or standing right on the bones of the ball of the foot. Problems such as metatarsalgia and neromas are problems that can occur in this area.
Because we are hard on these two areas of the foot our SAS Shoes have TRIPAD® Technology. This is our patented comfort system that provides shock-absoption and support to the three main pressure points of the foot: inside ball, outside ball and heel. This is provided to different degrees in most of our shoes and sandals.
Another Layer to our shoes that helps cushion each step is our cushioned outsole. Made from superior Polyurethane material which is durable, flexible, and provides long lasting cushion for all day comfort.
